RyAnn Lewis is a 2024 senior and is a part of the girls wrestling program. She is 17 years old. RyAnn is a phenomenal student with much dedication and respect from her teachers, coaches, and peers. She transferred to Lincoln County in the seventh grade from Fortine school.

Her parents are Regan and Bill Lewis and her one and only brother's name is Trace Lewis. Her mother is a former District Clerk from Fortine School but now works at Lincoln County High School as a Payroll Clerk. Her dad Bill works as a machinist. Her brother Trace graduated in 2022 and is currently working under his father. Trace and RyAnn were both born in Whitefish. The Lewis family has been in Eureka for multiple years along with their extended family as well.

RyAnn joined wrestling when the sport became available for girls at Lincoln County in 2022, the Montana High School Association added girls wrestling the previous year in 2021. RyAnn was a junior at the time she joined in 2022.

She is very dedicated to the sport as she is consistent with her attendance for practices and maintaining weight for her desired weight class. She puts in a lot of time and effort into wrestling while being an honors student and maintaining a 3.9 grade point average. “RyAnn is a team captain and senior leader. She leads both vocally and by example. She's a great role model. Works hard to get better. Excellent grades and high level classes. Very coachable. Always willing to help teach the new girls and show them the ropes. Always brings a positive attitude to practice and competition.” Coach Meester said.

As senior year passes by, all the senior athletes feel all the emotions. “As I’m soaking in my last year I’ve been so thankful to be a part of this team and have the privilege to be captain.” RyAnn said.

RyAnn brings the qualities of toughness and grit to the table for the girls wrestling team. Her fellow teammates see how hard she works and recognizes her leadership. “RyAnn is such a good captain and leader for this new program and so many of us look up to her.” Teammate Samantha Day said.

She never gives up when things get hard. “Everything a coach looks for.” Meester added.
